Family:

Keith was married for many years to Joan, and they had three children – Michael, Helen, and Rosemary.

Other Factors:

Keith was known to have had two affairs: one with the minister’s wife and another was a friend of his wife. There were also financial issues with his employment, which is discussed in more detail below.

Date of Disappearance and Activities

The disappearance of Keith is incredibly old, and so there are minimal sources of information  available. There are some reports that the family uncovered in their search for Keith.

Keith took his wife and two daughters into town in the morning and then returned home. Michael  had gone to one of his neighbours to play out with a friend. When Michael saw his father leaving, he presumed that he had gone to pick up his mum and sisters. However, Keith did not pick up the rest of his family, and Michael’s sighting of his father leaving the home was the last sighting. The following day, Keith’s car was found abandoned at a car park near Bolton Abbey. It is unknown whether he had any links to the area, arranged to meet anyone, or planned his disappearance.

Keith worked as a marketing manager for Yorkshire Bank. He was also a deacon and treasurer at  Moortown Baptist Church. During the investigation into his disappearance, there were financial  irregularities discovered for tax claims. There were also reports of financial irregularities at the bank, but these seem to have been minimised by the bank for fear of public upset. The extent of these problems is unknown.
